G.5 math, decimal point. In English, the number “5.2” is read as “five and two tenths” and “6.09” is read as “six and nine hundredths”. In Japanese, “5.2” is read like “five point two” and “6.09” is read like “six point zero nine”. Japanese is simpler than English for decimal point. 🙂
